SSCSSC (Staff Selection Commission)

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. It conducts examinations for various kind of competition for jobs under central government. It is responsible for recruitment of central government employees for various departments and for group ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts. Its chairman is generally an IAS officer. It is headerquartered at New Delhi . It has fixed time table for various competition exams like Matric level, Intermediate level, Combined Graduate level . Meanwhile, Every year lakhs of candidates participate in examination. The process of recruitment is very much systematic. However, there was huge protest against SSC some days before. Malpractices had came into the light.

SSC Matric level Examination

SSC conducts matric level examination for recruitment of constable (General Duty) in SSB, ITBP, CISF, BSF and CRPF. Minimum qualification for matric level examination is Matric (10th) pass from recognized board. Examination for these posts is normally in the month of November/ December. Moreover, It conducts examination for Multitasking Staff (MTS), MTS can be deployed on any kind of task which are carried out in offices. These posts fall under pay band one i.e. PB1.

SSC LDC Examination

SSC LDC (Lower Division Clerk) and data entry operator are intermediate level examinations. A candidate who has passed intermediate or 12th class from a government education board is eligible to apply. It conducts this examination twice a year. LDC and DEO (Data Entry Operator) are selected through this examination. Lower Division Clerk has responsibility to maintain various kind of documents and official work. Lower Division Clerk has promotion up to the civilian gazetted officer. Promotion of LDC depends upon various factors like performance during past years, age, qualification etc.

SSC CGL Examination

This online examination is for candidates who are graduates. Further, This examination has three tier based process and latest syllabus and pattern is available on Written examination conducted generally in the month of  May/June. Candidates selected through this examination are officers in various departments like Custom/Excise/Ministries/Secretariats and are of Assistant and Inspector level. Though these posts do not fall under gazetted officer category. However, after putting few years of service SSC officers become gazetted officers.

SSC FCI (Food Corporation of India) Jobs

SSC conducts this examination for recruitment of food inspectors in Food Corporation of India. The written examination is conducted generally in September/October month. Candidates who are graduates are eligible to apply for these posts. As per the review from candidates FCI is very good career platform. Serious aspirants must apply for these posts.

SSC CPO (Central Police Organisations) Jobs

CPO stands for Central Police Organisations. SSC conducts competitive examination for recruitment of Sub Inspectors and Assistant Sub Inspectors in all para military forces viz. ITBP (Indian Tibet Border Police), CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal), BSF (Border Security Force) and CISF (Central Industry Security Force) and Delhi Police.

Moreover,  Graduates from recognized universities are eligible to apply who fulfill other conditions like age, qualification as prescribed by SSC from time to time. While filling up form, candidates select posts of their choice. After successfully qualifying the examination candidates will have to undergo  medical examination. Finally, Based upon the performance and passing medical examination, candidates are allotted with specific paramilitary force.

Current News from SSC about Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-II) examination 2018.
Computer Based Examination of Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-II) is commencing w.e.f. 11th September 2019 and will be conducted up to 14th September 2019. Candidates are advised to carry an original Photo Identity Card having the Date of Birth as printed on their Admission Certificates.

If the Photo Identity Card of candidate does not have the Date of Birth then he/she must carry an additional certificate to prove exact date of birth.

If at any state there is mismatch in the DOB mentioned in the Admission Certificate and photo ID/the certificate, Candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
